Destination Imagination Info and Sign-Up Night!
“Destination Imagination® is a leading-edge organization dedicated to teaching participants the essential skills of creativity, teamwork, and problem solving.
Destination Imagination’s main program is a global problem solving tournament that begins with the fall school semester each year. Elementary, middle, and high school students form teams of up to seven members, and each team selects one of seven mind-bending Challenges created by Destination Imagination volunteers. With the guidance of a teacher or parent as Team Manager, each team creates an action plan and works together for weeks or months to develop and create a solution to the Challenge’s proposed problem. Emergency Drills:
This week we had an announced practice fire drill on Tuesday. Teachers and students new about the drill and prepared for it. Then, on Wednesday we followed up with an unannounced fire drill. Wow! Everyone did a GREAT job, and we got out of the building to our meeting spots in record time!
On Tuesday, September 26 we will be having an announced off-site evacuation. This drill starts like a fire drill, but then we all evacuate the GVS grounds and head to our off-site meeting place at the town hall. If you see the whole school walking single file down the road on Tuesday, that is what we are doing!

Preschool fees are billed through payschoolscentral.com. The monthly fee is $113.60 or annually $1,136.00. Please log on to payschoolscentral.com to make a payment or you can send your check in to the GVS office made payable to Grantham School District. What are the Covid protocols?:
To summarize protocols if a student is diagnosed with Covid:
- isolate for 5 full days
- wear a mask around others through day 10
